Jeff Gibble reflects on 2016

“This camp is an excellent opportunity for young musicians to learn new music and perform in front of several audiences. Camp has been an fantastic experience for my son and his fellow bandmates. I would highly recommend State College Rock Camp for young musicians who want the opportunity to make new friends, learn some new music and entertain local

About Camps

Students will incorporate professional methods to learn songs quickly and efficiently; including arrangement analysis; improvisation concepts and ear training skills. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about song forms, different musical styles, the other instruments of the band and how everyone contributes to a group sound. Rock camp is the perfect opportunity for all musicians to meet other musicians in the area and expand the network of the music community.

Matt and Jeff started State College Rock Camp in the summer of 2010 for their private students to expand into a group playing environment. Now in its ninth year State College Rock Camp is a multi-level, multi-option program that includes public performances, songwriting and recording, camps for beginners through adults.

“My son has participated in rock camp for 4 years. The talent that Matt and Jeff are able to get out of the kids in such a short amount of time is amazing!!! The rock camp has been the highlight of his summer for the last 4 years, plus he has also made long lasting friends. This year my daughter participated in rock camp to perform with her brother. Now she tells me she will be doing it for the next 4 years also!!!
